Recently, the Vietnamese government passed Decree No. 13/2023/ND-CP on Personal Data Protection (Decree 13) on 17 April 2023 after a long period of deliberation. Starting from July 1, 2023, Decree 13 will come into effect without any transitioning period, encompassing domestic and foreign entities involved in or associated with the processing of personal data in Vietnam.
