Business briefing on the new Decree No. 70 amending Decree No. 152 on the management of foreign employees working in Vietnam

On 18 September 2023, the Government issued Decree No. 70/2023/ND-CP ("Decree 70") amending and supplementing certain provisions of Decree No. 152/2020/ND-CP on foreign employees working in Vietnam ("Decree 152"). Decree 70 took immediate effect as of its issuance date.

Besides loosening some conditions for work permit application procedures, Decree 70 continues to prioritize the protection of job opportunities for the Vietnamese workforce over foreign nationals. It is expected that there may be more challenges on the employers' reports on foreign labor demand.

Given the importance of this topic, we would like to hold a webinar to brief you notable changes of the new Decree and recommend some action plans for compliance with the new regulations.
